One of my favorite places to sight-fish for big brown trout is the Grand River, west of Toronto. In the spring, the March Brown hatch and a prolific grannom hatch ignite some wonderful dry fly fishing. This year will prove no different. There are many mysterious rock ledges that deceptively hold some very large brown trout. This is especially true in the cutwater around the steep banks. This painting captures the shady seams and undercuts that often hold massive brown trout on spring overcast days.

This painting is for sale on my website, clintbova.com, or you can email me directly at cbova@columbus.rr.com or call me for more information about my original trout stream artwork series.
