The Mad River watershed has many feeder brooks. Tiny little springs that flow in and around the glacial rifts of Logan County. Because karst is such a prevalent phenomenon here, there is always an abundance of cold, clear water that eventually makes its way into the Mad River. Kings Creek is one such cold spring.
The fall brings warm filtered light, and with the early harvest this year, it made for some
dusky ephemeral evenings. Soon, this tiny piece of water will be frozen, and I will return to try once again to capture its quiet and modest demeanor.
