Bamboo Fly Rod Marriage Proposal

 You know, when you have dedicated your life to being a rod maker, nothing says commitment like a 7'6" 5wt, with a marriage proposal emblazoned on it. In 2006, I made a cane rod to propose to my wife. After the final dip and a fine polish, I called her up to my workbench, handed her the rod, and asked her to read it. She broke down, cried, and said “yes”...then I went fishing. We have been together ever since.
